Overdose Awareness and Candlelight Vigil

Thursday, August 31^st, is International Overdose Awareness Day and we at Salinas Valley Health will honor those who have died from an overdose in our community during a special ceremony and candlelight vigil. The public is invited to attend this ceremony from 6PM-8:30PM. The ceremony will take place in the MRI parking lot of our medical center, 450 E. Romie Ln, Salinas.

 Medical staff will also take this opportunity to distribute NARCAN while supplies last and provide education about it. NARCAN (naloxone) rapidly reverses an opioid overdose.
