Sign up by leaving a comment on this page (and be sure to RSVP to this evening’s event) and your name will appear in due time on the list below. \n1) TBD\n2)\n3)\n4)\nAlternate) \nAloha! \nJoin us for another Tele-Story event\, on Zoom! \nThe Zoom link will be visible on this page\, once you RSVP.\n— please un-RSVP if your plans change and you will not make it.\n— message me for technical assistance. \nThese are informal\, low pressure\, wine-friendly opportunities for members to share their writing and invite discussion. We won’t singularly focus on technical writerly feedback\, but rather allow each piece to be a trigger for a short discussion based on what comes up for each of us. Organize your feedback in terms of *what you liked about the piece*. \nSchedule (updated as we confirm readers):\n6:30 – 7pm — Happy Hour (and troubleshooting)\n— Say hello\, have a glass of wine or a bite of dinner with us\, virtually.\n— Please join us at 6:30 if you are not experienced with Zoom\, in case you need to troubleshoot your computer / Zoom. \n7:00-9:00pm — Readings and Discussion. Leave a comment below or message the host if you’d like to read. And\, don’t forget to RSVP if you plan to read! Otherwise\, please join us as a valued listener and discussant! \nUsual format for authors:\n– Four confirmed speakers\, and one alternate.\n– Confirmed speakers have a total of 30 minutes for reading followed by feedback. Any unused time will go to alternates.\n– Authors usually aim for five to ten minutes of reading (~5\, double spaced).\n– Feedback will start with a “lightening round” of short\, constructive comments. Authors can ask for clarification but should avoid back-and-forth discussion until after the lightening round.\n– If you want a particular kind of feedback\, or a different format\, feel free to discuss with the host or let the listeners know before you read. \nUsual format for listeners / feedback:\n– We start with a “lightening round”\, where everyone has the option to give one minute of feedback (with an additional minute of overtime\, at the discretion of the host and author).\n– Focus on what you liked and what could make it even better\, rather than what “didn’t work”.\n– Use Zoom’s “Raise hand” option\, to give feedback.\n– After the lightening round\, we open it up to longer form feedback and discussion.\n– Avoid “interviewing the author”\, and focus on the writing\, unless there is an abundance of time. \nIt is never too early to let us know you are available to read Next Time! \nP.S. Zoom / internet problems:\nTelephone audio is much more reliable\, if you don’t have a stable internet\, with (or without) your computer video.

SUMMARY:Tempest
DESCRIPTION:St. Patrick’s Day CD Release Show\n\n\nCelebrating more than 30 years of Celtic Rock! New CD is “Going Home” \nSince forming in 1988\, Tempest has delivered a globally-renowned hybrid of high-energy Folk Rock fusing Irish reels\, Scottish ballads\, Norwegian influences and other world music elements. The last 30 plus years have seen the San Francisco Bay Area based act release seventeen critically acclaimed CDs and play more than 2\,500 gigs. It’s also enjoyed an evolving line-up that’s enabled musicianship and creativity to evolve in delightful ways with each new member. Hailing from Oslo\, Norway\, founding member and lead singer/electric mandolinist\, Lief Sorbye\, is recognized as a driving force in the modern folk-rock movement. He started Tempest after years of touring and recording on the folk circuit. Newcomer\, San Francisco native fiddler Lee Corbie-Wells\, comes to the band with a special passion for Celtic and Scandinavian music and Gaelic language traditions. A touring and performing child of a musical family\, she plays fiery traditional fiddle tunes\, and is also known to keep a bit of Blues and folk improvisation up her sleeve. And straight from Bologna\, Italy\, we welcome the big\, rich bass playing talent of Mirco Melone. Mirco has a diverse background in rock\, jazz and ethnic music\, and holds an advanced degree from Italy’s Classical Music Conservatory. The latest addition to the band\, Nikolay Georgiev\, studied modern rock guitar under Martin Goulding at the Guitar Institute of Technology in London\, U.K. and classical guitar performance in his native Bulgaria. He also attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood\, CA\, while remaining active in a number of bands. Nikolay brings a fresh and global flavor to Tempest’s brand of Rock-driven World Music! Cuban-born drummer Adolfo Lazo\, an original Tempest member\, thickens the band’s sound with inventive rhythms\, and rock-steady drumming. Signed to Sony-distributed Magna Carta Records\, Tempest’s releases are acclaimed worldwide. Their latest studio CD\, ‘Thirty Little Turns’ is a collection of inspired new original and traditional material — with a cheeky surprise or two. During the extended\, pandemic break from touring and performing in 2020 Tempest has remained busy\, releasing two limited edition CDs; ‘Live on the Air’ the Radio Sessions 1992 – 2018\, and ‘Live From SoundTek Studios\,’ The Lockdown Sessions. Tempest is regularly featured at prestigious festivals such as The Philadelphia Folk Festival\, and has also appeared at Denmark’s Skagen Festival\, Britain’s Cropredy Festival and The Winnipeg Folk Festival in Canada. The band is a mainstay at countless American Celtic festivals\, as well. \nArtist sites and sounds: http:www.tempestmusic.com

SUMMARY:3.2 featuring Robert Berry
DESCRIPTION:3.2 featuring Robert Berry is the culmination of 30 years of performing and recording with some of the best of the best in the rock music wo\n\n\nIf you lived in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 80’s you enjoyed the band Hush. Robert’s first professional band won a coveted BAMMIE for best Bay Area Band\, but that was just the beginning. The performance of the band 3.2 runs through Robert’s recording and performing career from A to Z. Some highlights are his time with ELP band mates KEITH EMERSON and CARL PALMER. The band had a top 10 song in 1988 called Talkin’ Bout. From there Robert joined the Sammy Hagar band until the call from AMBROSIA came. During the 80’s and 90’s when Robert was performing on tour with these bands he was also involved with a record company in New York called Magna Carta Records. He had the top song on many tribute albums to icons like Yes\, Jethro Tull\, and Genesis. Those re-envisioned versions of classic songs are performed during a 90 minute set by Robert’s top notch band. On keyboards\, from New York\, is one of the best rock keyboard players on the music scene now\, Andrew Colyer. Drummer\, Jimmy Keegan is well known as having played with Spock’s Beard. Robert’s long time musical side kick and ace guitar player Paul Keller rounds out the quartet. They’ve been playing together since the Hush days. A history of Robert’s progressive rock music performances with storytelling from his travels\, 3.2 featuring Robert Berry will have some musical connection for everybody in your audience. Please check out the YouTube promo video below. The 27 city tour in 2019 was a huge success. In fact there is a live album coming out of their headlining performance in New Jersey at ProgStock. The band is anxious to get back on the stage and will be performing a few West Coast shows before heading east starting in Florida April 14 at RoSFest. \nArtist sites and sounds: SEE SHOW PREVIEW AT https://youtu.be/w2AJJo8Ik_k and http://www.robertberry.com
