Certification recognizes Salinas’s well-being\ntransformation through successful implementation of Blue Zones Project® by Sharecare\, pioneer in\npopulation health programming that brings evidence-based best practices in built environment\, policy\,\nand social networks to participating communities. \nBrought to Salinas in 2018 through the collaborative efforts of Salinas Valley Health\, Taylor Farms\, and\nMontage Health\, the well-being improvement initiative focuses on optimizing surroundings to make\nhealthy choices easier and helps people live longer\, healthier\, and happier lives. As a result of its efforts\,\nSalinas has made it easier for residents to move naturally\, eat better\, develop healthy social circles\, and\nlive with purpose. \nBlue Zones Project Monterey County will celebrate their achievement with a free picnic-style community\nevent.
