SUMMARY:Social Isolation: Its Impact on Physical Health\, Emotional Health\, and Friendships
DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the Aptos Library is offering a series of workshops on Social Isolation: Strategies for Understanding\, Coping\, and Healing in a Disconnected World. On February 7\, the next workshop will be on the Emotional Impacts of Social Isolation\, presented by our 2nd District Supervisor Kim DeSerpa\, and former social worker\, who has lots of experience with this topic. The goal is to provide participants with an understanding of the ways these issues manifest themselves in people of all ages and to provide some tools and resources to help them navigate these difficulties so as to lead a healthier life.  \nThe final workshop\, Foraging Friendships as Adults will be held on March 7\, presented by Kara Hopkins\, a local transformational coach. You won’t want to miss either workshop!  \nBoth workshops will be held from 3-5p at the Aptos Branch of the Library\, 7695 Soquel Dr\, Aptos. \nRegistration required. Please register at the SC Library Website.
